For over 40 years Battle Ground Community Education has offered quality preschool education for children within the Battle Ground School District boundaries. Tigerland Preschool teachers create an environment that encourages children to explore and engage in learning at their own pace. The curriculum is emergent and the environment is structured to encourage both independent study and social interactions with peers and teachers. Instructors are there to help guide children and facilitate a deeper understanding of knowledge at a level appropriate for the individual child.
Our curriculum will teach your young child the skills needed to enter Kindergarten and how to socialize with other students productively. Tigerland preschool instructors work closely with Battle Ground School District staff to prepare preschoolers for entering our school system.
The program is designed with the individual child’s learning style in mind. The curriculum reflects, but is not limited to, the Five Domains as listed in the Washington State Early Learning and Development Benchmarks. They are:
Physical Well-Being, Health and Motor Development
Social and Emotional Development
Approaches Toward Learning
Cognition and General Knowledge
Language, Literacy and Communication
Classes are conveniently located in Battle Ground at Captain Strong Primary. This program works closely with Battle Ground School District programs to prepare your child for their Kindergarten experience.
Committed to providing a quality learning environment with the “whole child” in mind, we are dedicated to educating preschool-age children by encouraging each child to learn, play and explore.
