A team of science teachers not only used their state in-service day but the Saturday as well, to travel over 600 miles ( 1000 km) to learn about Pacific Northwest geologic and natural history. They specifically engaged in NGSS standards History of the Planet Earth and Evidence of common ancestry and diversity.

Carrie O’Donnell, Yvonne Flattum, and Larissa McAree joined Mark Watrin for a two day science in-service to the John Day Fossil Beds Oct 10-11.
